Today, when publishing text and specialist books, it is necessary to have short production times to make sure that the work is still topical when it is released. For editors and authors it is also important to be able to update their books according to new developments in science and technology. Therefore, our publishing concept based on modern printing technology provides an ideal basis. A text or specialist book can be released within a few weeks. Regular updates of the content in new editions are possible, and the constant availability of your work is guaranteed.

Thesis

Our concept of publishing allows for an optimal completion of your thesis. Referring to university guidelines, all doctoral candidates are bound to publish their theses. For this purpose you have two options:
    :: The first one is to print out a relatively large amount of presentation copies to hand in at the university.

    :: The second one - which can be the more attractive option - is to use the advantages of publishing professionally with us.

In this connection it is possible to publish your thesis in one of our scientific serials.

Conference proceeding and research report

For editors of conference proceedings, it is decisive to know that their works are printed quickly and on time. This is ensured by our concept of publishing based on a modern printing technology, which in addition offers the possibility of purchasing cheaper copies for conference participants.

So we would either produce the books before a conference or we distribute publications which are to be released after a conference, and send the proceedings to each participant individually.

Institute serials

As partner of several renowned research institutions and editors, we are currently managing more than 350 institute serials.

We offer editors the possibility of publishing titles from their institute in the same serial. The most important advantages are a standardised cover as well as a shorter production time. The promotion of the titles in industry and research is adjusted to the wishes of the editors, and we provide them with brochures or other material for book fairs, conferences and seminars.

The creation of a new serial implies a publishing agreement with the editor. Then in cooperation with the editorial office a layout for the cover will be developed.

Company publications

Increasingly we also produce business publications, such as anniversary publications, research reports, technical publications, business reports, compendia, loose-leaf-collections and more.

We are leading in printing on demand, and we kindly invite your company to cooperate with us. We also help to supply your customers with your publications in order to reduce the printing costs and to avoid a large stock.

Electronic publications

Since the early 1990s, we have also been occupied intensively with electronic media. Our programme contains offline and online media. We offer editors of CD-ROM and DVD-media our support in each stage of development. These are, besides the editing of a storybook, the production of graphic, sound and video elements, as well as programming of internet software.

Our innovative concept of online publications makes it possible to publish texts and complete books via the internet.

The advantages of publishing with us in short:

    :: The amount of copies required by the university is reduced dramatically, which lowers the costs for printing.

    :: Our authors obtain their copies at a preferential price. Author's copies are sold at cost.

    :: If you are living in Germany or within the EU, it is possible to receive a remuneration by the VG-WORT, which is a community of interest of authors and publishers. Last year's remuneration was approx. 380 EUR.

    :: You participate in sales revenue with 10 % of the net selling price, and in the revenue of online documents with 50 % of their price.

    :: Your thesis is published within our different scientific serials, and is therefore widely distributed, nationally and internationally.

    :: We offer many print design options. Based on our high-quality basic design, we also offer advanced alternatives, such as colour print, or processing of the cover to a shiny, matt or structured finish.
