Layout design

:: 1. Pictures/photos

Please make sure to scan images with grey-scales at a resolution of at least 300 dpi (greyscales) and coloured images at a resolution of at least 600 dpi (CMYK-mode).

Then save as Tiff or EPS in your programme.

Please save the text seperately as .rtf, .txt or in a Word-document (.doc).

:: 2. Line graphics/logos

Please save logos in EPS or Tiff format.

Save coloured logos in CMYK-mode or use the preferred special colour (e.g. Pantone or HKS palletes)

Logos and text should also be saved seperately.

Black and white (100% black) pictures and logos should be scanned at 800 - 1000 dpi.

It is always helpful if you send us a printout of the layout you prefer.
Our graphics department will try to realise your drafts.
It is possible to choose font, size etc. in advance and send us - if necessary - the respective font.

Please make sure the files are readable with Windows, in case they were produced with Macintosh.

These tips are to prevent delays and problems in the production of your book.
